Writing the wave...

Last weekend I returned to my hometown for a book signing that took place at my parent's restaurant, Louisiana BBQ, in Joliet, IL.  I reconnected with friends and family that I haven't seen in a minute because I am not home these days too often.  But no matter.  I was welcomed with opened arms and loved only as a prodigal daughter could be loved–that is to say wholly and warmly.

My hometown crew accepted me as a writer and bought my book and praised my first one.  (What a nice surprise to learn that many had also enjoyed Collette's Caleb and very much looked forward to MidCoast Star. )

I don't say it enough, but I love my Joliet friends and family and am grateful for their continued support of my endeavors.  They make going back home that much easier.

Love to them all.

After waiting out a weather delay in NYC, I was finally on my way to Chi-town.
